Tomie with Liz Davies, widow of Valentine Davies who wrote MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, in the San Diego offices of Harcourt Brace Jovanovich.
Tomie’s illustrated edition of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET was published in the fall of 1984. Years earlier, Liz Davies gave HBJ permission to let Tomie illustrate the book.
