Tomie and dance partner, Carol Morrissey, showed off their talents at the Fashion Show and Revue, a benefit for the Doll Carriage Parade in Meriden, CT.
I had never heard of a “Doll Carriage” parade , but an online article about an upcoming (in 2016!) Doll Carriage Parade in Charlestown, MA, explained, “the Doll Carriage Parade hit its heyday in the 1940s and little girls would push their best doll carriages while wearing fancy, patriotic red, white and blue clothing.”
The article featuring Tomie and Carol referred to them as a “well known young dance team of outstanding ability.” (Bob)
